Name: # 48 Stanley
Description: A # 48 tongue and groove plane made from 1875 to 1898. Later models which were nickel plated were made up until 1944 Sometimes called a swing-fence match plane, you would cut the tongue, swing the fence 180 degrees, and cut the groove to match. This plane also has brass hold down thumb screws, and a beaded front knob, and a patent date of July 6 1875.
